Too Late
Words and Music by Amity Dry, Anthony Egizii & David Musumeci
While I was writing this album a person very close to me was going through a very bad break up, which I often teased her was horrible for her but good for me, as it gave me unlimited song writing material! I'm sure every one of us has been in a situation where a partner treated you horribly the whole time you were together, only to turn into Mr. Nice Guy as soon as you dumped him. I'm sure we've all fallen for the flowers and apologies a few times, only to realise that usually people don't change and the niceties don't last that long. This is the song to play when you need to be reminded of this!
Take back the flowers
They only make me sneeze
Don't write those letters
There's not one word I believe
With those cards you wasted $4.95
Coz when you signed your name
The words became a lie
It's too late
To cry your sorry tears
It's all been said
And it only hurts my ears
You had your chance
To prove to me you'd changed
But now it's too little too late
Don't call my number
I won't pick up the phone
Don't come around here
I will not be home
It took forever to get you out my head
But now I'm stronger
And I won't go back again
Chorus
You say you love me
But what is love to you?
Say you can't lose me
But you just don't want to lose
